Souffle', around 1 year old, arrived at the shelter in a carrier
with 7 colorful kittens that were not hers. She is a little shy until she gets to know you, and would do best in a home
with older children and well trained dogs, by herself, or as a companion to another cat.

Kelly, 4 1/2 years old, is a gorgeous calico with a distinct,
confident personality. She came to the shelter as an older feral kitten and over the years here has learned to love people.
Her favorite treat (bribe) is canned tuna, and her favorite activity is tree climbing. Kelly is a perfect friend for an
experianced cat owner!

Popcorn, 8 years, was given up when his owner could no longer
care for him. He is a people cat and will follow you wherever you go. His ideal home is a one-cat-only household, or maybe
as a companion to one cat. He is active, loves to play and is good with kids and other cats.

Kuba is a somewhat shy young adult that loves to give head bumps
and will spend a good part of the day trying to take all of your attention. He was found living with a feral colony and was
too sweet and loving to return to the outdoor life and attempts to find the person who gave him a nice collar with a heart
shaped i.d tag failed. He is the perfect cat if you have kittens, he loves to wash them and snuggle. He is leery of loud
noises, bold male cats, sudden movements, vehicle noise, cat fights and doesn't want to be outside at all. Ever. Kuba's
ideal home is a quiet, gentle one with experienced cat owners. He will have to be coaxed out from under the bed at first,
but he is easily won over! Click on his photo

Miranda, 4 years, has been at ARAS since she was a kitten. She
loves to sunbathe on top of the cages in the kitten room and will play with toys and fresh catnip stalks if the room is fairly quiet. She has never seen a dog
face to face, the only children she has
encountered are shelter visitors, and has never ventured outside of the kitten room. She is gentle, soft and petable and will come when called. Her
one adoption experience ended with her coming back to the shelter 2 days later because she hid under the bed and would not come out to eat or drink. With an
experienced, attentive and patient owner, Miranda would bloom into a lovely lap cat. Click on her photo to see another,

Elora was trapped at a Trap-Neuter-Return clinic with a younger cat and a large litter of kittens. The vet and volunteers couldn't figure out which kittens belonged to which mother cat, so the whole crew was sent out to foster. All kittens and adults flourished, grew and are ready for adoption! She is calm and sweet.
